Tell us about yourself?

I am a single mom/grandmother, who just happens to be senior executive in an organization and of course, a small business owner, an author, radio and TV show personality.

What is the inspiration behind your enterprise Coach Cai (Cai Caism)?

Wow, I have always been the person that women seemed to migrate to help them through empowerment challenges while assisting them in transforming their lives. I also had a crisis of my own the spring before I put the paperwork in to open my own business. You see I had journaled much of what I learned having friends and clients test my coaching steps and that spring I personally used the steps to get me through that very chaotic period in my life. Coaching others was a natural gift. Using my own program to get me through and me succeeding, well that was the moment I thought, “why not monetize this gift?”

When did you first realize you wanted to pursue a career as Transformational life Coach or Speaker to touch people lives ?

As a teenager I oftentimes had friends and peers ask me for advice. But instead I would suggest that they allow me to help them find their own way in their situations. I became a peer counselor in high school and it ignited my passion.

Are you currently offering in workshop trainings or courses online? If so where can we purchase them?

I do periodically offer workshops and retreats for women. My organization offered its “Green Tea and Donuts Women's Empowerment Workshop” in August 2018. My team and I are gearing up for our annual two day Women's Retreat for next August. Please look for tickets for the event at www.coachcai.com as early as March 2019. The online Master Courses are currently being developed and will be ready for release in January 2019 and will be available through the website.

Who have been your biggest mentors in the industry and what is the best advice they have ever given you?

I found that my mentors and coaches were not huge in the industry. Those mentors were school counselors, professors, even my pastor's wife. Of course, I am inspired by Oprah, Lisa Nichols, Brian Tracy and Anthony Robbins (I read his books and watched his infomercials and vids as a youngster all of the time).

Tell us about your coaching style, how is it different from other Life Coaches?

Ah yes, I have been called “Momma C” by a number of clients because I have a nurturing strength to my approach. It's fun and light at times and it is always thought provoking while appealing.

What are the top criteria you look for when hiring someone new to join your team team?

Oh you definitely have to have your own “style” and have a high self awareness factor. We are dealing with other people's stories and the hire needs to be sound in their own skin. It is also very important that they are opposite of me. I love diversity of thoughts and appreciate having that diversity influence the culture of CAISM as an organization.

What challenges do you come across from a management point of view as your company CEO?

Finding the right people for the right roles is often a good challenge. There are often qualified people yet finding those highly qualified highly productive people for this industry is sometimes a chore.

What is (are) your most memorable moment (s) as a Life Coach/ speaker and why?

Wow, looking back having someone walk up to me after my speaking engagements to say that I have just given them the best reasons to push through life's challenges. There are times when I tell my own story that it touches the lives of others. It is a great feeling to know that my story helps someone else.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in their career and hoping to make it as a speaker?

Be your authentic self. There is no one else like you with “your story” and celebrate your story.

What can we expect from you in the next 2 years or so ?

I am going global in the next two years. I am exploring Beijing, Switzerland and a few African countries.

Who are other talented entrepreneurs, speakers you would hope to collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate with Akon, Reverend Hope Sutton, and Lisa Nichols.

Thank you for the lovely interview Coach Cai. This was an outstanding interview, I learned a lot and I hope our readers did take home an inspiring message from this interview. If Akon ever got to see this article, we highly recommend him to connect you for the collaboration. Since you are visiting Africa soon that collaboration could happen sooner.

I love Lisa Nicolas YES YES, I do follow her so I will be waiting to see the two of you create a phenomenal work together. We wish you all the best and looking forward to re-interviewing you in the near future. Keep up posted with your upcoming project.
